Solexx greenhouse covering at 9500 feet in the Colorado Rocky Mountains

One of our fine Dealers sold Solexx roll material to Bryan and Lois in Colorado and we wanted to share their story.

They are located at an altitude of almost 9500 feet in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.  They created a “subterranean heating system” along with thermal mass storage in their greenhouse which allows them to grow fresh greens throughout the year. You can see pictures of their greenhouse assembly process and follow their story here:

The building didn’t stop there!  In 2011, through the sponsorship of the Colorado Garden and Home Show, Bryan and Lois were selected to build the same style Solexx greenhouse with a subterranean soil heating system for the Care and Share Food Bank in Southern Colorado. Care and Share is now able to plant not only spring seedlings but also grow all year round!

The link below will take you to their project gallery.
